More Info

Kicking Horse Coffee We make coffee. More specifically, we make coffee that kicks ass, and weve done it for over 20 years. Its exceptional tasting coffee. And that could be why were Canadas #1 selling Whole Bean coffee. But it could also be because all our coffee is Organic. And all our coffee is Fairtrade. And its all deep and delicious, roasted right in the Canadian Rocky Mountains. It could also be because our customers are loyal, fervent and demand goodness in every cup. And its not just our coffee thats good. We were named the #10 Best Workplace in Canada by Great Place to Work in 2016. We were named a 2015 Fairtrade favourite product. We know how to work hard and have fun. And we think were just getting started. We believe great coffee is the answer to many things. But our question to the world is, "How will you wake up and kick ass with us?"

just plain bad.

Beans are dark and shiny, but not oily. This is clearly a dark roast, not medium. The blend includes some very small beans that are burnt and this is the only flavour I get from espresso made from this bean. It has a particularly unpleasant aftertaste that lingers. Maybe somebody making soy lattes could palate this, but it's not a drinkable espresso. Assuming that they pretend there is a one year shelf life for "fresh" roasted beans, my batch is 8 months old. I threw the remainder of the bag away after trying several brewing options.
