These beans are grown in the Aceh region, amongst lush rainforests rich with volcanic soil, on the Indonesian island of Sumatra. The region of Sumatra is known for having low acidic coffee, and for their unique coffee processing method that contributes to the low acidity of the beans. The tasting notes of this popular coffee region shine through, with an intense aroma of caramel and chocolate, with fruity hints of plum. We've roasted this as a dark roast to enhance the rich, full-bodied taste of the Sumatra beans.
