I'm not a fan of dark roast coffees but this one definitely surprised me. I could tell just from smelling that it was going to taste amazing. Brewed in a V60 and it turned out super fruity and floral, just as the tasting notes describe. Sweet with no bitterness, I enjoyed this coffee black to taste the flavors to their full potential.
My first experience with Ethiopian coffee was several years ago in an Ethiopian restaurant in Toronto, a ritual to say the least. I just had to try this coffee to see what it was like and I was impressed by the overall flavour. Definitely a keeper!
Notes were as described on the website. Very nice flavours and no bitterness.
I bought this coffee by mistake...don’t usually like dark roast. Am I ever glad I accidently picked up dark roast, it is so good...and for a dark roast, absolutely zero bitter burn taste which is what this light weight medium roast drinker usually tastes in a dark roast...it’s extremely smooth and flavourful. Whenever I purchase Ethiopian coffee I always buy yirgacheffe beans, and I probably will try the One Point Twenty One version of that bean, but right now Limmu Kossa dark roast is my new fav.
As I type, I’m enjoying this nice cup of coffee, made with my Hario Pour-over coffee maker in my backyard patio. Ahhh. Just the right thing to make a sunny Saturday morning even better. Deeelicooua cup of coffee ever. I’m gonna buy more when I run out.
